Lake ReedyNice lake in Frostproof Florida. Some algae blooms possible, but fish still hungry. Good Florida bass fishing lake. Location and Method:
#1- Pad circles- Small springs are surrounded by pads(3-4 ft). Look for pads fields that have a nice donut hole in the middle. Work the pads with 1/4 ounce junebug by pitching. Bass are usually near the outside of the field or the pads to the inside near the donut hole. There are several of these near this location. Good all year for a couple. #2- Kissimmee grass line- This line is best in the spring in 4-6 ft of water. 1/8 ounce junebug cast just inside the edge worked out to 6 foot from the edge. #3- Underwater hump 6 ft drops to 14 ft. Work carolina rig on either side of hump. Best in summer or winter. #4- Peppergrass beds- 4 ft. Work spinner bait into and through grass. Best in summer. #5- Reeds near small creek exit- Work reeds with pumpkinseed or junegug worm, 10 pound test and spinning rod no more than 1/8 ounce weight. Fish often congregate here and live in the shallows 1-2 ft. Be stealthy! #6- Deep Kissimmee grass line- 7-8 ft. Pitch 3/8 ounce junebug/redshad worm all along line keying on thicker clumps during summer/fall. #7- Kissimmee garss beds- Nice spawning area for bass in spring. Work pockets with craw or worm. 1/4-3/8 ounce.

Lake ReedyThis lake offers peppergrass, Kissimmee grass in both shallow and deeper water. Some springs in the lake keep the fish near them in cold front conditions.
1- What are the little balloons on the map? They are my favorite fishing spots! If you click them they'll tell you what kind of structure is there and how to fish them. If you use the scroll bar for the map, you will also see a list at the bottom which gives a small description of each of the spots.
