Location and Method:Small man made rock pit in Sarasota near I-75 and between University and Fruitville. Lots of timber, limited off shore weeds. Shoreline weeds very shallow (approx. 1 ft). This is a Sarasota Florida Bass Fishing hot spot! #1-12 ft hole near shore- Just north of the ramp is a deep hole near shore with scattered underwater timber. Look for a small palm tree on shore to locate it. Use #9 shadrap or DT series 10 making sure the bait is running near the bottom. Use carolina rig with your favorte bait. Work the shallower side with 1/4 ounce Texas rig. Good in winter and summer months. #2- 8ft then drops to 14 ft ledge with some timber not visible. Use crankbait #9 shadrap or DT10 series rapala. Work the ledge. Best in summer. #3-Scattered timber 6-8 ft visible- Work visible and underwater timber. Cast 1/4 ounce junebug or redshad worm. Best from May to July. #4- 6 ft deep roadbed, dropping to 20-30 feet on either side. Good all year long. Has a bunch of submerged timber. I tend to use carolina rigs here because crankbaitts end to get lost too often. #5-Underwater hump within 20 ft of shore depth 3ft with 12 ft drop- near isolated trees on shore. Work senko or 1/8 ounce worm. Hard jerkbaits also produce. Cast to deep or shallow. Summer spots. #6-Timber point- 17 ft of water at edge. Work carolina rig here. Summertime spot. #7- Hyacinths reeds near deep water- Big fish spot. Work crankbait from shallow to deep. Just south of dock, I mean right next to dock! #8-Small timber stand- 3-6 ft. Work 1/4 ounce worm on edge and hump.

Note: The "Paper" button on the map is from Zee Map where they create a PDF file for printing then email you one back, but they do charge for this! Alternately, you can print the map using your browser print function which is free. I recommend you do a print preview from your browser and only print the page where the map shows up. 1- What are the little balloons on the map? They are my favorite fishing spots! If you click them they'll tell you what kind of structure is there and how to fish them. If you use the scroll bar for the map, you will also see a list at the bottom which gives a small description of each of the spots. Mr. B's Fishing Hole- Sarasota's finest bass fishing tackle specialists! Give 'em a visit and catch more bass.
