Lake Links
Location and Method:My favorite lake bar none. Lots of fish even after the hurricanes a few years ago wiped out a lot of hydrilla. Excellent Florida bass fishing lake! These are not in order of preference, but all are good spots at some point during the year! #1- Buggy whip weed line not cattails- This weedline is about 50 yards long, in between the cattail weedline. It has some of the deepest water for buggy whips anywhere from 4-6 ft at the outside edge. Nov- April is the best time to check this location out. Use Junebug Zoom trick worm or lizard on the outside edge first then move in (1/8-1/4 ounce Texas rig). A rattletrap or #7 shadrap is also good on the outside. #2- Buggy whip island not cattails- Island furthest from shore (can also check out further ones in if water is up). Use Junebug Zoom trick worm or lizard on the outside edge first then move in (1/8-1/4 ounce Texas rig). Nov- April is the best time to check this location out. #3- Buggy whip island not cattails- Island furthest from shore (can also check out further ones in if water is up). Use Junebug Zoom trick worm or lizard on the outside edge first then move in (1/8-1/4 ounce Texas rig). Nov- April is the best time to check this location out. #4-Buggy whip island not cattails-Island furthest from shore (can also check out further ones in if water is up). Use Junebug Zoom trick worm or lizard on the outside edge first then move in (1/8-1/4 ounce Texas rig). Nov- April is the best time to check this location out. #5-Kissimmee Grass and docks- The docks and grass intermingle. 3-4 ft of water. Best time to fish is Nov- April, better during spawning months. Flip or pitch 1/4-3/8 ounce Texas rig red shad or junebug worm into grass. Cast occassionally to docks. #6- Open water- may have hydrilla- Look for schooling fish any time of the year in this location. Use rattletrap (1/4-1/2 ounce) and #7 shadrap. Depth 4-6 ft. If no schoolers seen, use the shadrap to locate. If schooling, can also use Fluke, topwater, etc. #7- Deeper Open water- may have hydrilla- Look for schooling fish any time of the year in this location. Depth- 8-9 ft. Probe depths with #9 shadrap. If topped out hydrilla exists, try rattletrap/fluke or chartreuse-white willow spinnerbait. #8- Deeper Open water- may have hydrilla- Best if hydrillas there. Summer spot. Schoolers come and go. Try #7 shadrap and fluke.

Note: The "Paper" button on the map is from Zee Map where they create a PDF file for printing then email you one back, but they do charge for this! Alternately, you can print the map using your browser print function which is free. I recommend you do a print preview from your browser and only print the page where the map shows up.
1- What are the little balloons on the map? They are my favorite fishing spots! If you click them they'll tell you what kind of structure is there and how to fish them. If you use the scroll bar for the map, you will also see a list at the bottom which gives a small description of each of the spots.
